I grew up in masjids where the books lived in a binder behind the khatib’s pulpit. Every year a volunteer would stay up late in Ramadan trying to reconstruct what had come in and where it had gone. The community deserved better. The treasurer, who was doing this for free, deserved better.

Fikra exists to give masjids the same quality of ledger that a small nonprofit across the street gets to take for granted. That’s it. No venture-scale ambitions, no acquisition plan - just a quiet piece of infrastructure, run respectfully, priced so that a 200-family masjid in Dearborn can afford it.
