On for every masjid
The Masjid AI assistant.
Someone on your staff says what they need in one sentence, and the assistant does the work inside Masjid Fikra — the way a good staff member would, asking before it assumes.
It is on for the people each masjid on Masjid Fikra names in Staff, and for nobody else. Every staff role has it unless the masjid takes it away from that role; the owner and admins always have it. This page says what it does, what it can reach, what it never touches, what is kept, and what it costs.
What it does
- Answers how-to questions about running your masjid in Masjid Fikra.
- Gives you this month’s counts and totals, the same ones your Overview shows — “how many new members did we get this month?”
- Changes the prayer times on your website and the TV display, and edits what your website says.
- Creates an event, and asks whether you need volunteers for it.
- Drafts an announcement to your members, ready for you to send.
Nothing changes until you say so
When the assistant would change something, it shows you the change first, and you apply it or you don’t. It never publishes, sends or edits on its own.
What it can reach
- A set list of things it can look up or prepare. Apart from explaining how Masjid Fikra works and what your own role can do, each one needs a permission on your team’s roles, and it is only given the ones the person asking already has.
- It acts as the person asking, never as more. Someone whose role cannot see the books cannot ask it for them.
- It works through the same records your screens do: the same approvals, the same audit trail, the same emails from your masjid. Nothing it does is hidden from you.
What it never touches
- It does not read your members’ or donors’ names, contact details or giving. It works on the information your masjid creates to publish and share — events, announcements, prayer times, your website, including the board and staff it names — and on counts and totals. When a question needs a member or a donor, it tells you where to find them in Masjid Fikra.
- It never invents a number. If it has not read a figure from your masjid, it says so, and tells you where to look.
- It is not a mufti. Questions of religion go to your imam; the assistant helps with running the masjid, and says so.
Who can use it
- The people you name in Staff, whatever their role. Your masjid can take it away from a role on the Permissions tab, but not from the owner or admins. What it looks up or prepares for someone is only what their own role allows. Not members, not donors, not anyone on your public page.
What it costs
- Every masjid has a monthly allowance included. Settings shows how much of it is used.
- If you need more in a month, the owner can add more from Settings.
What leaves the building
- The words typed to it are sent to the service that answers it, and the panel says so under the box, every time. So is what the assistant looks up to answer — for example your masjid’s counts and totals, its events and prayer times, and what your website says — and a picture of a page when it looks at one. A picture you add goes only by its name, unless you ask it to copy that picture’s design. It does not read your members’, donors’ or volunteers’ names or contact details, or what any one person gave, so none of that is sent. It still reads what is on your public page, like your board and staff, and your masjid’s totals.
- Each conversation is kept, so the person who had it can come back to it. Only they can open it in Masjid Fikra — nobody else at your masjid can, and none of our own screens read it — and they can delete it.
- We keep a count of how much your masjid uses the assistant, for the allowance. The count never holds the words.
